Biography

  • With a Master’s degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Law, Mr. Nguyễn Thiện Châu has gained many years of experience working and providing direct legal consultancy at leading construction companies in Vietnam such as Lưu Nguyễn, Mega Buil, etc.

  • In addition, Mr. Châu frequently participates in advising on and resolving legal issues in the construction sector for foreign investors and financial investment funds involved in activities such as buying and selling, mergers, and project implementation in fields including real estate, education, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Qualification

  • Master of Architecture – University of Architecture;
  • Bachelor of Law – Ho Chi Minh City University of Law;
  • Architect Practice Certificate;
  • Certificate of Practice in Construction Operations;
  • Certificate of Practice in Fire Prevention and Fighting;
  • Member of the Vietnam Association of Architects; also a member of the Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Associations of Architects;
  • Collaborator at the Housing Management and Construction Appraisal Center under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction;
  • Collaborator at the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Construction Economics and Urban Studies.

Notable Engagements

  • Provided legal advisory and managed the development of state-budget-funded projects for the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs;
  • Obtained permits and provided legal advice as well as project management for the construction and renovation of Children’s Hospitals 1 and 2;
  • Offered legal advisory and facilitated the appraisal and approval of the investment proposal for the project of the working headquarters of the Ethnic Minority Board – Ministry of Home Affairs in the southern region;
  • Delivered legal advisory, secured construction permits, and oversaw the completion of the Sotetsu Grand Fresa Saigon Hotel project for Thanh Van Hotel Investment and Development Joint Stock Company;
  • Participated in advising on and implementing projects for Shimizu Vietnam Co., Ltd.;
  • Led the advisory and permit application process for the construction of the Daikin Group’s headquarters in Vietnam located in Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City;
  • Contributed to the advisory and management of an offshore wind power project for an American investor in Ben Tre;
  • Led the advisory, master planning approval, and investment proposal approval process for the Dong Hai Quan Am Pagoda project in Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province.
